Institut Zone Unik Hairdressing Salon With Concept JP since 2011
The challenges we faced
Our biggest challenge was ourselves (do not let anything drag, be organized and have rigor). Then, our worst enemy was our ego, acknowledging that we needed help. If there is freedom on one side, there is fear of the other and, the area in the middle, it is the courage to take action. Our experiences in the industry have also made us understand the importance of becoming leaders (facilitators) rather than traditional patrons. We also realized that we had to surround ourselves with the right people, those who were going to have a fit with our organization.
Why we chose Concept JP
We had difficult times when we questioned whether we were keeping our salon, but Concept JP arrived at the right time. We decided on this distributor for its structure, for the support and guidance we were promised for the growth of our company, but also for the human side. At first it was scary. We were offered things that we had never been offered elsewhere before. We were septic, we wondered if reality was going to be as beautiful as expected, but we trusted (and we did well!).
The results of our business partnership with Concept JP
We followed several business courses with Concept JP which led us to make changes to improve the situation of our show. And more recently, we attended the Summit, an immersive four-day program with other people who were experiencing the same reality as us, the same business issues. To go further in the process, we chose the support of a Summit coach who accompanied us for a few months. She helped us determine where we needed to start and gave us the support we needed to change and put in place. In the end, the program allowed us to evolve our show. We are more than ever aware of what we do and our management (finance, inventory, waste, etc.). We have computerized ourselves to follow our figures and to make better follow-ups with our customers. The Summit has also made us progress professionally and personally. We realized that what is most important is the employees, because if they are happy they will make the customers happy. We have not always focused on our people, but today our goal is to foster their growth and development.
In our country, continuing education is essential. The technical trainings that we follow with Concept JP allow us to respond adequately to customers who like to be on the lookout for trends. As for performance courses and the New Talent Program, they teach us to better interact with our clients. Stylists must understand that there is not just the technical side; Approach and attitude are key elements that make all the difference. Our employees now take the time to consult to listen to clients' needs for guidance. They are passionate and "tattooed" Redken and, in their chair, they always talk about the products they use. People are satisfied and often leave with the suggested items. It is a win-win relationship because, on the one hand, the customer is satisfied and, on the other hand, it is additional income for the stylist and the salon.
Thanks to the support of our supplier, we do not make more than 80 hours a week as before, we have more normal schedules. We are still working hard, but more efficiently.
Why we recommend Concept JP
Our partnership with Concept JP can be summed up in one word: SUCCESS.
With the quality of its training and its products, Concept JP is able to help people that have the desire to succeed in the industry.
