Our Origins
It all started behind the chair.
Concept JP was born from the journey of Jean-Pierre Perron, a trained hairstylist.
After working behind the chair and running his own salon, he developed a growing interest in the commercial side of the beauty industry. He became a sales representative, then sales director at a professional distribution company, where he deepened his understanding of the industry's real needs.
In 1995, driven by the desire to offer a service closer to the realities of beauty professionals, he founded Concept JP.
On February 1st, 1996, the company officially launched its operations. From the very beginning, Concept JP stood out through its close relationships with salons, strong partnerships, and unwavering commitment to the success of beauty professionals in Québec.

A family united by their love for the craft. Together, they laid the foundation of Concept JP, driven by commitment, closeness, and a shared vision to move the beauty industry forward.
A Family-Driven Business
The story of Concept JP is also the story of a family deeply invested in the company.
Frédéric Perron, the youngest son, was part of the journey from the very beginning.
He held several key roles — in the warehouse, in customer service, and then on the road as a sales representative starting in 1998. For over 30 years, he embodied the consistency, loyalty, and closeness that have always defined Concept JP. His dedication left a lasting impact on the company and on the many strong relationships he built with salons across Québec.
Sébastien Perron, the eldest son, joined the company in 2007. Structured, analytical, and forward-thinking, he brought a strategic approach to management while honouring the legacy of his father. In 2017, he officially took over as President, with a clear vision: to grow the business ambitiously without ever losing sight of its roots.
